Volunteer Membership

All people who work in Special Olympics, including coaches, family members, sponsors, executive committee members, board of directors, and board of trustees, are called "volunteers." Special Olympics will not last without the commitment, enthusiasm, and active presence of volunteers. The best way to volunteer in this Iranian Olympics is to visit the Special Olympics Iran website, click on the volunteer registration button, and complete the information via the link below. It is important to note that anyone with any expertise can volunteer to participate in Special Olympics programs. The Special Olympics Iran Board of Trustees calls on the required individuals from the volunteer bank for each program and uses them according to their expertise.

Trainers and specialists

The Special Olympics coach must keep in mind that his athletes are unique and their training requires comprehensive awareness. Athletes should be seen as human beings with their own unique characteristics, regardless of their disabilities. Training programs include enjoyable and joyful parts. A coach may be a teacher, family member, volunteer, or any other interested person in the field of Special Olympics. To work as a coach in Special Olympics, one must go through the following steps: visiting Special Olympics Iran, participating in the first Special Olympics training workshop, participating in special programs of interest and receiving the relevant certificate, submitting an application to Special Olympics to work as a coach. Therefore, to register information in the coach bank, it is necessary to enter information through the following link:

Membership of centers

Currently, Special Olympics Iran allows any institution, center, or organization that has a license to operate for people with intellectual disabilities, autism, or Down syndrome and is interested in cooperating with Special Olympics Iran to participate in Special Olympics programs so that their athletes can benefit from this multifaceted program. Special Olympics Iran, as a non-governmental organization, is trying to provide the necessary platforms for the development of physical activity and sports for people with intellectual disabilities in cooperation with other governmental and non-governmental organizations. This organization is only responsible for inter-sectoral coordination and, as the coordinator of the programs, is trying to increase the connection between specialists and implementing organizations in the country with Special Olympics athletes.
